Toyota needed a shirt to promote their 2009 model of the Toyota Matrix. My goal for the following design was to convey that the Matrix is not only cool, but personal, and environmentally conscious – hence the hand lettered text making up the shape of the car. Toyota agreed, sending me and my brother on an trip to Chicago to see my shirt handed out to industry executives and media during the 2008 Chicago Auto Show’s exclusive pre-opening press release events.
